Legend of Punished Woman's Lake Pictures Back Up

Now that the painting is done at the Community  Center, the pictures of the legend of Punished Woman's Lake have been put back up.  The location was moved to the South wall to make them easier to view.

We'll post individual pictures later.  Stop in and take a look when you get a chance.

Thanks to Penny, Isabelle and Pastor Nelson for taking on the project.

Hoe-Down This Weekend

Come one, Come all.

This Saturday, October 26th at 7:00 pm it will get lively in town because there will be a hoe-down at the South Shore Community Center.  Great music, a fine lunch, door prizes and more.  All this for just a free-will donation.

You need to make plans to be there.

2013 Pumpkin Weigh-Off

We had pumpkins of all sizes at South Shore on Saturday September 28th.  There was a pickup full of pumpkins for the folks to take home with them.

There was a slide to play on while you waited for the guests of honor to be checked in.

Then there were the rather large pumpkins that we had all come to see.  It was not the best year to grow these giants, but they were still impressive.

And fun

Hee Haw

Spring is more than in the air, it is here.  South Shore is holding its 22nd annual Hee Haw Show this weekend - Saturday April 6th and Sunday April 7th.  That's right, a take off on TV's Hee Haw show with some hilarious South Dakota twists and lots of local involvement.  If you have never been there you need to go.  Cornfield jokes galore, skits, music, singing and of course the occasional comedic mishap.  And lunch, they have lunch, great lunch.

Saturday, April 6th at 7:00 pm and Sunday, April 7th at 2:00 pm at the old South Shore School - now renamed "Comet Place".  Reserve tickets are 12 bucks. General admission tickets are $10 and can be purchased at:

All South Shore Businesses
McFleeg Seeds/Midwest Medical
Linda’s in Milbank
Rufer’s General Store
1st Bank and Trust of Milbank and Stockholm
LaBolt Mini-Mall
Coffee Cup/Waverly Steakhouse

All the proceeds go toward community projects in the South Shore area.  If you have questions or want more information call them at 605-756-4247.

See ya in the cornfield !!!
